This is the second vision of Enoch, the vision of wisdom: three parables given to him for those who dwell on the earth. A whirlwind carries him off and sets him down at the end of the heavens, where he sees the dwellings of the righteous and hears those who do not sleep sing “Holy, holy, holy.”
There he sees One who had a head of days, white like wool, and with Him another whose face was full of graciousness. The angel tells him who he is: the Son of Man, whose name was named before the sun and the stars were made. He will put down the kings from their thrones, and the Elect One will sit on the throne of glory to judge.
Enoch meets Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Phanuel; he sees the secrets of the lightning and the winds, the mountains of metal that will melt like wax, and the chains made ready for the hosts of Azazel. Between the parables Noah speaks, crying out three times to his grandfather Enoch when he sees that the earth has sunk down.
The volume ends as Enoch is carried into the heaven of heavens, before the Head of Days.
